A series of thoughts (possibly rants) and images about technology and innovation sprinkled with reflections on the despair of everyday life. Somehow all of this is mixed up with a Manchester back drop.
An accidental face on one of the Victorian buildings in Oxford St, Manchester. The grill to dissuade the pigeons does not really add to the effect though. The problem is that when you start spotting faces in buildings you end up seeing them everywhere.
“TV Addiction” - a poster graffiti on the sidestreet of Oxford St. My initial reading was that this was some sort of glorification of heroin addiction but closer inspection shows that this is a rather naive interpretation. The addiction in question is one of popular broadcast media. This poster appears to have been in situ for a while and at one stage I think it may have been hidden behind hoardings.
“Endemic” - a sticker on the fire hydrant outside the bars on the corner of Oxford St and Portland St in Manchester. The meaning is somewhat obscure although the colour would suggest that the sticker is specifically intended to match fire points. That still doesn’t help to clarify what it means.
